The Palm Beach County Housing Authority (PBCHA) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of a new member to the Board of Commissioners, Phyllis Choy. Ms. Choy was appointed to the PBCHA Board by the Governor of the State of Florida, Rick Scott, on December 1, 2017.

Ms. Choy has been a Realtor in Florida since 1997; previously licensed in California.  She holds the prestigious designations of CIPS, CRS, ABR, e-Pro and is a Certified Code of Ethics Instructor with the Florida Realtors. 

A native New Englander, Ms. Choy brings her education and human resources background to the real estate profession, and has been actively involved with private property rights, affordable housing and legislative issues.  She is a major donor with the Florida Realtors PAC.

Ms. Choy is a Trustee with Florida Realtors Home Ownership, past president of JTHS Association of Realtors (2004 & 2010), past president of Regional Multiple Listing, past District Vice President, received the Realtor Achievement Award at Florida Realtors all while being a multi-million-dollar producer.  She serves on multiple committees at the state & local level. 

We are confident that Ms. Choy’s professional background and experience will bring an insightful perspective to our Board, and we look forward to her contributions.

PBCHA would like to thank outgoing Chairperson Arsalia Bird for her leadership and continued support of PBCHA. Ms. Byrd was first appointed to the Board in 2003, and was reappointed in 2014, after a brief hiatus.

PBCHA’s Board of Commissioners provides leadership for carrying out PBCHA’s mission to provide affordable housing to the local community.
