The Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sponsored effort to assist families to become economically self-sufficient. FSS participants sign a voluntary five-year contract, during which time they complete an educational or vocational program, obtain employment, and become free from government assistance.
“I really appreciate the FSS program. They helped me create a better life for myself that I didn’t think was possible. FSS is a great program!”- Anthony Collins
